11 Baboons And Monkeys Being Hunted By Hungry Predators On Camera

Baboons and other primates are savvy and smart and know their way around in the wild. They are also combative and will rise to the challenge if confronted. Lion Hunt Baboon: Lions are not skilled at climbing trees the way leopards are, but what the lion climbs in this video can’t be considered a tree, and that’s why he gets to the baboon so easily, forcing him to fall to the ground to kill him.

Two lions chase a small vervet monkey in this video, and it’s amazing how much effort one of the felines puts into this chase, considering the size of the prey.

However, in this video, this young lion tries to assault a baboon, and the baboon chases the lion. Even when the lion comes for the second wave of attacks, the baboon stands his ground and challenges the lion. 

Unfortunately for the baboon, he was too ambitious, and when the rest of the pride came running, the baboon was ambushed and had nowhere to go, and it’s all over for him. 

A baboon is devoured alive by this lion. This is unusual behavior for lions, as they usually kill their prey before eating it, especially a small baboon. 

The lion could kill it in seconds, but it just keeps pouncing on it gently, which doesn't kill it but makes it suffer. In this video, a lioness resorts to attacking a troop of baboons to satisfy her hunger. She can be seen slowly sneaking up on the unsuspecting primates. 

Her only chance of a meal is to catch one of the monkeys off guard, and she does exactly that. She can be seen with a dead baboon in her mouth after the chase.

But when a few baboons notice her walking away, alarm screams give her away, and the entire pride, including males, rush to her and rip the dead baboon out of her mouth and eat it in just a few seconds.

Crocodile Attacks Baboon: While a crocodile demolishes a baboon to swallow it whole eventually, the entire troop watches, traumatized by what they’re seeing, but they’re all happy it’s not happening to them. 

This small crocodile snatches a baby baboon, but the young baboon’s mother jumps in and manages to grab her baby back from the crocodile. 

Unfortunately, the damage is already done, and the baby baboon is dead. Mom did what she had to do, but it wasn’t enough.

This video demonstrates that a group of baboons can destroy a smaller crocodile. Not all the baboons are brave enough to leap over the crocodile, but a few are more daring than others, and once they do, the rest join in on the frenzy. 

A Grey Langur's arm was caught in the teeth of a Mugger Crocodile while it was drinking water. The fight lasted over an hour as the monkey fought for his life.

The monkey was eventually able to free its arm from the teeth of its assailant. The monkey broke its arm during the fight, which can be fatal in the wild. This is nature at its most pristine.
